Having had three amazing tours to Sri Lanka in 2014, 2016 and 2018 with LWTL, we were delighted to return for our first post-COVID tour in April of this year. Every aspect of the experience was brilliant – superb hotels, magnificent food, a wide variety of excursions and above all seven brilliant cricket matches in wonderful locations. Hiran from Tripavi organised the tour for months in advance and kept in regular touch, our guide Shanaka accompanied us throughout and had everything planned down to the finest detail, and our cricket manager Kushan did terrific work behind the scenes to ensure that our opposition was of a suitably even standard. Our biggest highlight, however, was our visit to the Foundation of Goodness, where we handed over a cheque for the £8,600 that the boys had raised on their own in the weeks leading up to the tour and had a fun coaching session with a group of local children. Everybody was so warm and friendly, and it was really hard to leave this uniquely beautiful and culturally rich island.

The Nothcote Lodge sports department have being using the services of “Living With The Lions” for a number of years now and we can honestly say we could not of had a better service through the company. With their attention to detail forward thinking planning and the friendly nature of their staff, it makes the decision all too easy to invest with LWTL. The feedback we received from parents as well as the boys because of the full nature of the itinerary and the enjoyment the pupils had from each and every activity, was overwhelming. The itinerary always works like clockwork with each and every activity planned to the minute with flexibility in the program, if needed. Our last tour 3 day sports tour we attended, 3 professional sport matches (football, rugby and basketball), the pupils played 2 matches against local opposition, 1 training session organised with a professional rugby team and the pupils participated in 1 fun activity. The big headlining events are fantastic and certainly big marketing headlines for the tour however it was the small attention to detail that continues to impress me about LWTL tours. All small details that only organisers would think of but LWTL think of ways to make not only the pupils tour a memorable experience but the teachers too. Overall, I couldn’t recommend Living With The lions enough. When it comes to planning tours, it’s a very easy choice as to what company we choose to give our pupils the best experience. .

The attention to detail LWTL put into ensuring the tour is tailor-made for our needs was brilliant. We certainly were not an ordinary tour. We took a group of dancers, footballers, netballers, rugby players and volunteers to SA! After a lot of fine tuning the team at LWTL were able to produce a superb itinerary full of excursions, fixtures, community work and billets. The students had a fantastic time with many wanting to go back in 2020 (when the school are hoping to tour South Africa again). I cannot thank Steve and Owen enough for their time and dedication to ensuring that every inch of the tour was a success. From the time we decided to tour, LWTL have been in constant and instant contact with us and we have thrown you quite a few curve balls which you have dealt with incredibly well enabling us to have everything we have asked for. In addition to the travel for the boys there and back you have also facilitated the several changes to flight returns without a problem. Providing two fixtures on each day amidst the other tournaments and league fixtures going on cannot have been easy and all fixtures worked really well, enabling all our cricketers to play the maximum amount of games, with only one half of one game cancelled due to rain, you even arranged the weather! Fortunately, none of our players were ill or injured and we were always able to field full sides due to your organisation of extra players for us from the opposition teams which made for a very friendly and integrated atmosphere in each game. We would have no hesitation in recommending your company to any schools who are in touch with us in the future.

A great 3 days in Bath a central location of the YMCA was ideal for our age group where we had no transport to deal with all shops / ammenties accessable. This has to go down as the best Sports Tour that the school has ran; not only were fixtures competitive across the board in the five sports that were played, but the life experiences and memories that will remain with the 47 tourists and five members of staff were worth every penny spent. The highlights for the pupils were the Elephant Orphanage, Turtle Sanctuary – especially releasing some babies back into the ocean and the Rainbow Centre.”

The pre tour preparation and attention to detail was second to none and this included getting visas for over 40 people and helping to prepare our risk assessments. Due to circumstances beyond my control some of our boys had to pull out about 3 months before departure due to England call ups and the company took this in their stride and helped me organise replacements and all the complications that arose from this.
