With great weather, superb facilities, decent opposition and only a seven hour flight from the UK, the Middle East is becoming increasingly popular as a sporting destination for UK schools hoping to escape the British winter for a spell.

As well as being stand alone destinations, both Dubai & Abu Dhabi are a good choice for a stopover on the way to other long-haul destinations such as Australia, Asia & South Africa.

Following the recent economic boom there has been a rise in the number of ex-pats and British and International Schools in the Middle East. There are also academy sides that offer great opposition and the sporting facilities available are truly world class.

Cricket and football are both popular and can be played In Dubai & Abu Dhabi. Rugby & hockey are gaining in popularity and the level of netball is good at the British Schools. It is also a desirable destination to consider for a tennis or swimming camp.
